Winter Upcoming Events

  • BV Historical Society Potluck and Presentation Event - November 17 at Bay Lodge, 492 Bradley Road. Social begins at 6:00 pm, dinner at 6:30 pm and program begins at 7:00 pm.  Trace the history of Cleveland's East Fourth Street with Alan F. Dutka author of "East Fourth Street: The Rise, Decline and Rebirth of an Urban Cleveland Street" as he presents on the once home to Cleveland's opera house, central markets and five-and-dime stores. Fourth Street fell into disrepair in the second half of the twentieth century, now it serves as the center of a chic entertainment and residential district, perhaps the coolest place in Cleveland. The main dish will be provided by the historical society, attendees with last names beginning with A-L should bring an appetizer or dessert for 10 to share and those with last names M-Z should bring a side dish. There will be a $10 charge at the door for non-historical society members. RSVP by calling 440-537-1581 or email them here.
  • Kiwanis Annual Spaghetti Dinner - November 19 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Bay Middle School, 27725 Wolf Road. Dinners are available for dine in or take out for $14 per person. Includes spaghetti (with Tony Dostal's famous meat or meatless sauce), salad, roll & sweet. This fundraiser benefits our Service and Leadership clubs in the schools, Fill This House, scholarships and Kiwanis programs across the US.
  • BAYarts, 28795 Lake Road - Family Holiday Extravaganza, November 19 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Free event featuring holiday crafts, hot cocoa bar, bake sale, food truck & libations, live holiday music, tree lighting and a special visit from Santa Claus!
  • BAYarts, 28795 Lake Road - Annual Holiday Trunk Show, November 19 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm in the Fuller House. Pick something special up, and enjoy your favorite vendors, libations and gift wrapping!
  • BAYarts, 28795 Lake Road - Holiday Shop, November 19 until December 24 pm, Extended Hours include Monday through Thursday 9:00 am until 8:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, Sundays Noon until 5:00 pm. The Holiday Shop will even be open on Christmas Eve until 1:00 pm if you're still searching for the perfect last-minute gifts. Shop local this year! Avoid the lines and pick up amazing gifts offered by local artists.
  • Kiwanis, in cooperation with Bay Village Historical Society, announce Santa Claus will be coming to town! He will ride through the streets aboard a fire truck the afternoon of Sunday, December 4. Departing from Bay Lodge about 2:00 pm, he will arrive at the Cahoon Memorial Park Gazebo about 4:00 pm where he will help light the City's holiday tree. A map of his route will be published in the Westlake/Bay Village Observer and on the Historical Society and Kiwanis Facebook pages. 
  • Kiwanis Annual Christmas Tree Sales at Cahoon Park - November 25 (From 9:00 am until 7:00 pm, this Friday Only) through December 11. Weekend Hours are Fridays 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Saturdays 9:00 am until 6:00 pm, Sundays 9:00 am until 6:00 pm. While supply lasts. Offering Fraser Firs, Douglas Firs and Colorado Spruces ranging in size from 6 feet up to 11 feet for a price of $60 up to $195 each. All proceeds to benefit community service projects and programs. 
  • Mistletoe Market at St. Raphael, 525 Dover Center Road, December 6 from 5:00 pm until 9:00pm. Visit them for an evening of shopping local vendors, raffles and more! $5 to enter $10 for a glass of wine and festive snack!
  • BAYarts, 28795 Lake Road - Kids Holiday Shop in the Playhouse, December 10, 11, 17 and 18 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. Stop in for affordable kids shopping, hands on crafts, holiday treats and more! 
  • Lake Erie Nature & Science Center, 28728 Wolf Road - Winter Solstice Celebration, December 16 from 6:00 until 8:30 pm. Get ready for the longest night of the year! Take a lantern-lit night hike through the winter woods, meet native animals and learn how they adapt to the season, and make a simple craft near the cozy crackling fire. Spend time in Schuele Planetarium to learn the meaning of the solstice and tour the current night sky. Telescope viewing will be available, weather permitting! Cost is $15 per person (children 6 months and under are free) Purchase tickets here!
  • The Rose Hill Museum & Reuben Osborn Learning Center are OPEN Sundays through December 18 from 2pm until 4:30pm and are decorated for the holiday season! Learn about other important elements in Bay Village history, including "A Nod to the Past" and exhibits detailing the career of Eliot Ness and the criminal case of Sam Sheppard are on display. Admission is FREE and group tours can be arranged.
