Lake Road Rehabilitation

The Ohio Department of Transportation will repave Lake Road from the Rocky River border to Columbia Road. The project is expected to start in early July (after Independence Day) and be completed by Labor Day. Traffic will be maintained eastbound and westbound with flagging. Please allow extra travel time for delays.

Trash, recycling, bulk pickup, brush, and leaf collection services for all affected residents will be maintained during construction. Place your trash and recycling cans and other items near the street as you currently do, or as close as possible without entering the construction area.

Project Details

The City of Bay Village, working in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), will be performing the rehabilitation of Lake Road from Columbia Road to the East City Line, approximately 1.50 miles in length. Work tasks include full and partial depth pavement base repairs, the installation of a new asphalt surface course, curb repairs, as required, catch basin and utility adjustments, ADA curb ramp improvements, and new pavement markings for the length of the corridor.

Traffic on Lake Road will be maintained in both directions during all phases of construction using a flagger. No detour will be implemented. All intersections will remain open and residents who live on Lake Road will be able to access their driveways at all times.
