Purpose and Process

The Charter Review Commission is established by the Section 13.6 of the Charter of the City of Bay Village to recommend proposed changes to the city Charter to City Council.  Council then submits the proposals to the voters for approval or rejection.  Meetings of the Charter Review Commission are open to the public.

Appointment

Every 10 years beginning in 2002, the Mayor appoints a commission of nine electors to serve as the Charter Review Commission.  The appointments are confirmed by City Council.
